Configuration - Voice Service SIP Mode
registration
Use the Voice Service SIP registration command to configure the SIP registration, which allows trunk
registration for each user of a PBX. To disable ignore negotiated registration timeout, see no
registration ignore-negotiated command on page 25-10.
Syntax: (config-voice-serv-sip)# registration {expire seconds|
failed-time seconds|ignore-negotiated enable|rate value|
retry-timeout milliseconds|tries value|window-size value}
Example: (config-voice-serv-sip)# registration expire 5000

rtp-base-port
Use the Voice Service SIP rtp-base-port command to configure the RTP base port. Choice of port to
be advertised during the media-negotiation phase of call setup and used during the call to send and
receive RTP.
Syntax: (config-voice-serv-sip)# rtp-base-port number
Example: (config-voice-serv-sip)# rtp-base-port 2500

Field Definition
expire seconds Sets the registration expire timeout. Range is 60 - 86400 seconds, with
a default of 3600.
failed-time seconds Sets the failed registration timer. Range is 30 - 86400 seconds, with a
default of 60.
ignore-negotiated
enable
Enable ignore negotiated expiration timeout.
rate value Sets the number of registrations per minute. Range is 1-300, with a
default of 60.
retry-timeout
milliseconds
Sets the SIP retry timeout (SIP T1). Range is 200 - 5000 milliseconds,
with a default of 500.
tries value Range is 1 - 10 times, with a default of 5.
window-size value Range is 1 - 304 , with a default of 10.
