Unwinder
Unwinder is controlled by a dancer arm. If the label liner moves, this will lead to an oscil-
lating movement of the dancer arm, and thus control the unwinding speed. This guaran-
tees a uniform tensioning of the label material.
An (optional) end of roll warning monitors the label roll. As soon as the label roll falls short
of a specified diameter, a signal is forwarded. In conjunction with the optional 3-colour
alarm lamp, the signal is indicated by the yellow light. The labeler will remain operational
until no more labels are available. Thereafter, the labeler switches to fault mode and
stops.
Drive unit
The drive unit keeps the label liner tight before and after the label application. It moves the
whole label liner between unwinder and winder during the application.
The pressure roller has a special design which ensures a permanent power transmission
without slippage on the carrier paper.
Application
The label liner is pulled around over a peeler plate, the labels are thereby gradually de-
tached from the carrier paper and dispensed onto the products (Wipe-on process). The
labels are pressed firmly onto the product by means of a pressure roller or brush. When
using a pneumatic dispenser, it can first be lowered onto the product, with the label ap-
plied afterwards.
