9. Maintenance and repair
Safety instructions
Danger through a direct or indirect contact with live parts.
If persons come into contact with parts that have become ener-
gized through malfunctions, this can lead to death.
- Disconnect the labeler from the mains voltage before carrying
out work on the device.
Health hazard due to improper handling of lubricants and
cleaning agents.
Improper handling can lead to health hazards.
- It is necessary to observe and comply with the respective
product information on the applicable safety data sheets from
the manufacturers of the utilized lubricants and cleaning
agents, as well as their safety and disposal regulations.
Damage to machine and machine parts
Missed or incorrectly performed maintenance/servicing and re-
pair work will reduce the operational availability of the machine.
This can result in consequential damages and the exclusion of
warranty claims.
Machine functions are to be monitored continuously.
Exceptional noise developments or unusual movements (such
as jerking, hitting, etc.) are indications of malfunctions and must
be checked.
- All recognized defects must be resolved promptly and pro-
fessionally.
- The operation of the machine is especially prohibited in case
of defects on safety equipment until a proper functional state
has been restored.
- Maintenance and servicing of the labeler is only permitted for
specialist personnel. Cleaning work may only be performed
by the operator (authorised persons see page 21).
