Product detector connection (X2)
The connection of sensors which are not included in the scope of
delivery, require an expert knowledge and may only be performed
by qualified personnel.
A trigger signal is sent from a product sensor (option) to the labeler to trigger a labeling
process. The product sensor is connected via an M12 5-pin plug at the flange socket X2.
Fig. 6-8: Example product sensor
Information regarding the positioning of the product sensor
Product detector and the reflector (if present) should be attached before the sensitivity ad-
justment and should allow for a later position adjustment.
Prerequisites
Product sensor is positioned at the conveyor route.
No product transport
Sample product
The labeler is turned off.
Instruction
How to position the Product Detector.
Connect the product sensor to the labeler (insert and screw together).
Place a product on the peeler plate so that the label is dispensed to the de-
sired position on the product.
Now position the product detector at the front or rear edge of the product.
Carry out a test run only after the proper initial commissioning (see page61).
If the desired position of the label on the product still hasn't been reached,
then perform the respective setting by relocating the product sensor (and if
necessary the reflector).
However, it is more comfortable to delay the sensor signals via the display
setting. This is only recommended for applications that are not time-critical,
as this increases the cycle time.
