Replacement of Valve Bridge Shaft (If necessary)
1. Remove the used valve bridge shaft (2).
2. Clean the valve bridge shaft mounting hole.
3. Using valve bridge shaft replacing tool (3), press in the new
shaft. (See page G-57.)

Push Rod Alignment
1. Put the push rod on V blocks.
2. Measure the push rod alignment.
3. If the measurement is more than the allowable limit, replace the
push rod.

Oil Clearance between Tappet and Tappet Guide Bore
1. Measure the tappet O.D. with an external micrometer.
2. Measure the tappet guide bore I.D. with a small hole gauge.
3. Calculate the oil clearance.
4. If the oil clearance is more than the allowable limit or the tappet
has a damage, replace the tappet.
