Monitoring ISE User Guide
Monitoring
This chapter describes the various features available to monitor the ISE. The following is a summary of these
monitoring features:
• LEDs (“Front LEDs” on page 101)
• System status (“System Status LED States” on page 102)
• Monitoring all site ISE systems (“Orchestrator System Summary” on page 104)
• Environment (“Environment Status” on page 108 and “CLI” on page 116)
• ISE SNMP monitoring (“System Monitoring with SNMP” on page 120)
• Performance (“Performance Monitoring” on page 120)
• Events (“Event Logs” on page 121)
• ActiveWatch (refer to the ActiveWatch Client Installation and Configuration Guide, 160178-000)
Front LEDs
The LEDs on the ISE front are intended for use in conjunction with the Web Management Interface (Web-Mgt).
The LEDs give an overall indication of the state of the ISE components; the Web-Mgt provides detailed
information about the exact condition of each component.
Figure 72. ISE Front Bezel Installed
The ISE state is indicated by the large
X
centered on the bezel. The states are:
• Slow pulse green—default mode when powering up
• Solid green—ISE is running normally
• Solid amber—ISE is encountering a problem
• Solid blue—Identify ISE function activated (as of firmware version 2.4.0)
