Propeller shaft housing (counter rotation model)

2. Remove the forward gear j, thrust
washer k, bearing outer race l, taper
roller bearing m, thrust bearing n, and
shim(s) (T4) o.
3. Remove the outer race l, the taper
roller bearing m, and the thrust washer
k from the forward gear j.
4. Remove the oil seals r.
5. Remove the needle bearing s.
Checking the propeller shaft housing
1. Check the propeller shaft housing.
Replace if cracked or damaged.
2. Check the forward gear. Replace if
cracked or worn.
Checking the propeller shaft
1. Check the propeller shaft. Replace if
cracked or damaged.
2. Measure the propeller shaft runout.
Replace if above specification.
