1. Install the lower unit onto a repair stand.
2. Remove the water pump housing a,
impeller b, and Woodruff key c.
3. Remove the outer plate cartridge d and
gasket e.
4. Set the gear shift to the N position.
5. Remove the oil seal housing g and shift
rod assembly h.
Disassembling the water pump
housing
1. Remove the O-ring a, insert cartridge
b, and O-ring c.
2. Remove the cover d and seal e.
