Removing the shift rod and shift
bracket
1. Remove the shift bracket assembly a.
2. Remove the shift lever b and shift rod
assembly c.
3. Remove the bolt d, spring e, and ball
f.
4. Remove the circlip g and bushing h.
Disassembling the shift bracket
1. Remove the bolt a, and then disassem-
ble the shift bracket assembly.
2. Remove the neutral switch b. For
checking the neutral switch, see
“Checking the neutral switch” (5-37).
3. Remove the shift cut switch c. For
checking the shift cut switch, see “Check-
ing the shift cut switch” (5-36).
Assembling the shift bracket
1. Install the shift cut switch a, and then
tighten the screws b to the specified
torque.
