5 AC 800F Functional Description
5-14
A battery-buffered real-time clock maintains the system time, even when the
AC 800F is switched off.
Evaluation of a power-fail signal.
The housing is an integral part which is decisive for grounding and shielding
capabilities. If parts of the housing should be removed (back panel, side panel,
dummy panels, module front panels), it can no longer be guaranteed that the
device is still in accordance with all technical specifications. Do not run the
AC 800F unless the housing is complete and closed. Observe the instructions in
Section 7.1 for connecting/disconnecting a module while the system is running.
Section 5.3.4 describes the startup behavior upon switch-on and the corresponding
signaling of the current status through the Status LEDs on the power supply module.
When using the power supply module SA 801F or SD 802F together
with the CPU board PM 803F, a maximum of 3 Profibus modules
FI 830F can be supported.
When using the power supply module SA 811F or SD 812F together
with a CPU board PM 802F, software version 7.1 or higher is
required.
When using the Ethernet modules EI 801F, EI 802F and EI 803F
together with the CPU board PM 803F, no battery-buffering is
ensured. Use Ethernet modules EI 811F, EI 812F or EI 813F instead.
When using the Ethernet modules EI 811F, EI 812F and EI 813F
together with the CPU board PM 802F, software version 7.1 or
higher is required.
