7.2.4 Installation instructions
When installing or deinstalling a Profibus module observe the instructions
given in Section 7.1.
When connecting a node make
sure that the data lines are not
distorted or confounded.
Note that a shielded data cable is
required for fieldbus module
operation.

The cable shield improves the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), i.e. the EMI/RFI
shielding and the RFI suppression capabilities.
To ensure good EMI/RFI shielding
in an environment with high
EMI/RFI connect the braided cable
shield and, if applicable, the foil-
type cable shield underneath it at
both ends of the line to protective
ground and provide for good
contact on a big surface.
