3 Mounting the AC 800F

Use the following flow chart to decide whether you can use a standard IP address or if
it is a special case or a case of redundancy.

Standard case
The standard case is valid if:
there is no connection to other networks (stand-alone operation) and
up to 14 AC 800F are used on the same system bus and
any other nodes connected to the same bus are in accordance with the IP
address conventions described below and
the respective Ethernet module is plugged in slot E1 or E2.
Set the coding switch of the first AC 800F to 1, and increase by one for each
additional AC 800F. From the tenth AC 800F on use A ... E.Donot use 0 and F.
What is stated above does not apply to coding switch positions 0 and F! Position 0 is
described below, position F is reserved for operation in redundancy mode.
