3.4 Putting on cable shields
If the cable shields are not put on or the instructions given here are
ignored, the specified EMI/RFI shielding capabilities of the AC 800F
during operation cannot be ensured.
The standard contact ledge delivered with the device is designed for cabinet mounting
and is not sufficient for operation outside a cabinet. Therefore, it must be replaced
with the special contact ledge (RW 855F) when using the device outside a cabinet.
This contact ledge is available on special order and is already installed in factory if
specified in the order.
• Undo the screws (3 x M2.5) of
the standard contact ledge.
• Mount the special contact
ledge (RW 855F). Use the
same mounting material.
Although it is possible to use the AC 800F with unshielded cables, it is recommended
to use shielded ones. Otherwise, the EMI/RFI shielding capabilities and signal/noise
ratios specified for these operating conditions cannot be guaranteed.
