8.2.3 Deinstalling a battery module
When the AC 800F is off, removing the battery holder when no module
with a buffer battery resides in the other E slot will cause a data loss.
The data in the main memory and the configuration of the real-time
clock will be lost then.
1. Unlock the slide-lock to be
able to access the upper lock-
ing screw. Use an appropriate
tool to slide the lock to the
right hand side until the screw
head is completely accessible
and the Lock inscription is no
longer visible.

2. Undo the screws at the module front panel top and bottom.
3. Remove the battery module. Touch the AC 800F housing with your free hand, ei-
ther while removing the module from the slot or at least directly prior to removing it
in order to discharge.
4. Put the module in the ESD protection bag.
5. Protect the empty slot with a cap (dummy panel).
