4.3.6.1 Cabling FF/HSE or 100BaseT
A simple twisted-pair cross cable is needed for cabling an FF/HSE segment with 2
nodes:
100BaseT cable
The following components are needed for cabling an FF/HSE segment with n nodes:
100BaseT cable, uncrossed
100BaseT hub
Ready-made 100BaseT cables are available in various length (0.5 ... 20 m) and from
different vendors. 100BaseT hubs are available for rail mounting, as 19" rack
mounting units, and as desktop units, with a different number of ports. Suggestions for
the cables and hubs are still under preparation. Please contact you ABB customer
