Parallel interface Interface for connecting the printer to the PC central unit. Often called
Centronics interface. Also used for the hard key.
PC central unit Central unit of a standard or industrial PC; without keyboard, monitor,
and mouse. Laptops normally accommodate the central unit, keyboard,
and display in a single case.

Pig-tail Ready-made fiber optic cable with a connector mounted to one end.
Often used when a fiber optic cable is to be provided with a connector,
since splicing a pig-tail is easier than mounting a connector on site. You
can get two pig-tails by simply cutting a normal 10BaseFL network cable

Power fail signal Signal generated by the power supply unit in case of a power failure and
transmitted to the CPU board. The CPU responds by saving its internal
data in the battery-buffered CMOS-RAM.

ailures of the primary power supply for the power supply module of
≤ 20 ms are bridged by the power supply module without generating a
power fail signal. After generation of a power fail signal the power supply

Power LED Power supply module AC 800F: Power LED indicates that the internal
supply voltage is applied.
Link module: Power LED lights up green to indicate that a 24 V input
voltage is applied.
CPU module and communication module: Power LED indicates that
all internal supply voltages are applied.
Power supply module SA 801F The power supply module SA 801F for input voltages of 115 - 230 V AC
is a vital part for AC 800F operation. It provides the supply voltage
required for CPU board, Ethernet module and fieldbus module operation.
Exclusively plug the power supply module in the first slot on the left hand
side (slot P).
Power supply module SD 802F The power supply module SD 802F for redundant 24 V DC provides the
supply voltage required for CPU board, Ethernet module and fieldbus
module operation

Primary In redundancy mode, the active AC 800F is called the Primary.
Prim/Sec (status LED) Light emitting diode indicating the AC 800F redundancy status. Normally,
this LED lights up green on the Primary and orange on the Secondary.
