Lesson 4 – Defining the Signal Routing
219
NOTE When selecting the differential mode (DIFF), both the pins which will
carry the non-inverted and the inverted signal (such as A+ and A–)
get connected. However, only the pin for the non-inverted signal must
be specified in the Resource field.
NOTE The setup choices Core #2 and IO #2 are only applicable for the TIA.
For all other modules Core #1 and IO #1 must be selected.
For the TIA, these options define whether a pin will be connected to
the first or the second TIA (Core) that is connected to the front-end,
and whether a pin gets connected to the Start (IO #1) or the Stop (IO
#2) input channel of the TIA.
The routing set 2 is the set to be used for the DAC Distortion test
with the High Speed Digitizer (WDA). As the analog output signal
of the DAC is directly wired to an input pin of WDA (pin
DAC_WDA), only this pin needs to be connected to the WDA.
The DAC Distortion test will be executed after the DAC Linearity
test. Therefore, the connections made there must be disconnected
