1-3 Characteristics of the Training
ADC
The ADC on the DUT board for the mixed-signal training is the 8-
bit A/D converter TLC5510 from Texas Instruments.
NOTE The data sheet of the ADC is included in the Appendix.
ADC Description
The 8-bit A/D converter TLC5510 is a variation of flash converter
with a conversion rate of up to 20 Msamples/s.

Specifications
Please have a look at the data sheet of the converter in the
Appendix. You will find that specifying an ADC requires twice as
much paper than specifying a DAC.
You will also find that this manufacturer differentiates between DC
and AC parameters.
This is just a matter of terms. We use linearity measurements
(which are also called static measurements) to determine the
actual DC parameters, and we use distortion measurements (which
are also called dynamic measurements) to determine the actual AC
parameters of the device.
