ONT Product Information Guide
Extended VLAN Tagging Operation Configure Data
A maximum of 32 Extended VLAN Tagging Operation Configure Data can be set
for any single ONT. By default, each ONT has 3 configurations rules set at
bridgeport creation: ingress-qos profile, pvid setting, and vlan mode. You can reduce
the number of configuration rules by mapping all pbits to a single traffic class for a
specific VLAN ID. Otherwise, each pbit-to-traffic mapping created consumes an
additional configuration. If the maximum number of rules is exceeded, an OMCI
error will be generated.
Service capacity for ONT UNI ports
Table 3-3 identifies the ONT UNI port that is specific to an ONT service, and the
maximum number of services that the ONT UNI can logically support.

Note
(1)
High-speed Internet and video can either have their own HSI, or share the same HSI. If the HSI is
shared, an IGMP signaling channel is required for video.
3.3 Ethernet interface specifications
The Ethernet interface supports the following specifications:
• Ethernet ports are IEEE 802.3 and 802.3as compliant
• IEEE 802.1q, 802.1x port-based authentication, and 802.1p QoS classification
per Ethernet port
• Layer 3 DSCP-to-802.1p mapping to allow layer 3 CoS over the layer 2 network
• RJ-45 connector(s)
• full or half duplex operations
• auto-negotiation or manual setting by operator
• 10/100 Base-T or 10/100/1000 Base-T (depending on the ONT type)
