19.2 I-010S-P and O-010S-P general description
I-010S-P indoor ONT and O-010S-P outdoor ONTs, also referred to as a GPON SFP
ONU, provide a subscriber interface for the OLT. The SFP ONT terminates the PON
interface and converts it to a user interface that directly connects to subscriber
devices. The ONT is compatible with all existing subscriber equipment, including
analog phones with both tone and rotary dial capabilities, cordless phones, modems,
fax machines, and caller ID boxes (Type I, Type II, and Type III).
These ONTs connect directly to customer premises equipment with a standard SFP
port, including Ethernet switches, routers, and home gateways, without requiring a
separate power supply.
These ONTs provide the following functions:
• fully G.988 series GPON standard compliant
• Ethernet packet forwarding at wireline speed
• tagging, retagging, and priority bit setting
• capable of MPLS transport
• full multicast video support with IGMP v2 and v3 snooping
• remote shut down from OLT via abnormal glow detection
• TC Layer GEM encapsulation mode
• OMCI support
