5 Connect the VDSL cables to the ONT.
i Connect the VDSL line from the CPE to the VDSL port using an RJ-45
connector, as shown in Figure NTP 113-1. Reverse power is provided to the
ONT through this connection using a PSE injector located on the customer
premises, as show in Figure NTP 113-2.

ii Connect the VDSL line from the central office to the CO LINE port using an
RJ-45 connector. This line will be used only if the unit is not powered by the
CPE VDSL line.
6 If required, have approved service personnel who are trained to work with optic
fiber clean the fiber optic connection. See DLP 134 for more information about
fiber optic handling, inspection, and cleaning.
7 Connect the fiber optic cable to the ONT.
i Route the fiber optic cable to the ONT.
ii Plug the SC/APC adaptor into the fiber optic port (DLP 125).
Danger — Fiber optic cables transmit invisible laser light. To avoid eye
damage or blindness, never look directly into fibers, connectors, or
adapters.
