9.10.3 UM/DC/AC Motor
Universal series motor is employed. Universal series motor is composed of stator and
armature (rotor). Stator and armature windings are serially connected with the help of
collector and brush, and current is sent to armature coils. Motor speed control is made via
electronic card.
Motor triac on the card adjusts motor/drum speed by changing the triac trigerring angle
according to the signal from tacho. There is a thermic on the motor winding to protect the coil
from overheating in abnormal (continuous operation-locked rotor) cases.
Nominal Operation Voltage 220-240 V 50-60Hz
Current 6A max (wash) / 3A (spin)
Input Power 300 / 450 W
Startup current 5...8A (wash) / 10A max. (spin)
Technical specifications of tachogenerator
Bipole number 8
Tacho output voltage in 300 rpm >0.9 V
Tacho output voltage in 16500 rpm >45 V

9.11. Safety Keys (Door Lock)
Picture 9.19 Safety key
PTC door safety lock has been used. When any wash programme is started after the door is
closed, PTC disk warms up and the door is locked and it cannot be opened while the
programme is running.
Once the programme is over, PTC cools down and the lock is opened in 70 sec.
Current of all components passes over the door safety lock. Machine will not run if this
breaks down.
Normal Operation Voltage : 250V 50-60Hz
Operation Current : 10-50 mA
PTC Resistance : Min. >=50 ohm
Ignition Lock time : <=8 sec
Ignition Opening time : 35...70 sec
Operation Temperatures : T85
