External points of interest
You can select an external POI as a main
destination or as a stopover.
! Insert a storage medium with external
POIs.
! In the Navigation main menu, select
the
Point of Interest (external) entry.
! Confirm your selection by pressing
the rotary control/ push button .
or if route guidance is already active
! In the navigation status display, press
the rotary control/push button .
The Options menu appears.
! Select the Stop-over entry.
! Confirm your selection by pressing
the rotary control/ push button .
! Select the Point of Interest (external) en-
try.
! Confirm your selection by pressing
the rotary control/ push button .
The POI menu appears.
! Turn the rotary control/push button
to select one of the following op-
tions:
In vicinity of location or
In vicinity of destination

! Confirm your selection by pressing
the rotary control/ push button .

In vicinity of location
You can select a POI in the vicinity of
the vehicle. When you make your se-
lection, the unit will tell you in which
direction the POI is located and how
far away it is.
•
In vicinity of destination
You can select a POI in the vicinity of
the destination. This provides no infor-
mation on the direction and distance.
Described below is how to opeate it via
the
In vicinity of location menu item.
Note:
The Point of Interest (external) menu item
can only be selected if, for example, a
storage medium with external points of
interest has been inserted and recog-
nised.
