Installation is reverse order
of
removal with spe-
cial attention to the following steps:
Charge Coil and Pulser Coil
Secure coil lead wire with cable ties, then check
that wire is routed properly, away from hot
or
rotat-
ing parts.
Install stator base. Apply Nut Lock to threads and
tighten screws as
follows:
•
8 mm: 16.5 ft. Ibs. (23
N'm)
• 6 mm: 84 in. Ibs. (10 N'm)

Apply Nut Lock to threads

coil mounting
screws. Tighten screws securely.

Flywheel
IGNITION SYSTEM
COMPONENT SERVICING
Clean flywheell and crankshaft mating surfaces
with cleaning solvent.
Use Flywheel Holder, PIN 5034227, and Screws,
PIN 5034235 to hold the flywheel. Tighten nut to
58 ft.
Ibs. (78.4 N·m).

Final Assembly Check
Perform the following checks to ensure proper
and safe operation:
All parts removed have been returned to their orig-
inal positions.
Wire routings are correct. Refer to
WIRE ROUT-
1NG
on p. 229.
