Apply Gasket Sealing Compound to the threads of
the gearcase retaining screws.
Install screws and
tighten to a torque of 198
in
Ibs.

004368 Connect clutch
rod
and
shift
rod.
Lightly apply Triple-Guard grease to lower outside
diameter of the water tube.
Install the gearcase onto the exhaust housing.
Guide the water tube into the water tube grommet
and see that the driveshaft engages the crank-
shaft. Rotate the
flywheel, if necessary.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the chamfered
edge of the
turnbuckle faces upward to seat
against the upper nut when tightened.
