Install the reel
on
the recoil case.
• Apply Triple-Guard grease to center hub.
• Align groove
in
reel with bent end
of
spring.

Lock to threads of friction plate screw.
Install friction plate with friction spring and secure
with screw.
IMPORTANT: Align holes
in
friction plate with
square
lugs
on
center boss.

MANUAL STARTER
INSTALLATION
After assembly, guide rope into notch
in
the reel
and rotate the reel approximately 5 turns counter-
clockwise until the spring
is
tensioned.

cial attention to the following steps:
• Check that all removed parts are installed.
•
Check the neutral start interlock function.
