SAFETY
After
repair
on
any
part
of
the
fuel
system,
pressure
test
engine
portion
of
fuel
system
as
shown:
When
Storing:
If tank cap has an air
vent
valve, make sure
it is closed.
If gasoline tank
is
stored
indoors, do not put it
in
a room
having an
appliance with a
pilot light
or
where electrical
appliances
or
switches (which
may spark)
will be used.
When
Running:

Squeeze until
bulb feels hard
Check for
leaks
under engine cover

Whenever possible, remove

hose from outboard and from
tank.

Store hose around ears
of
tank. This way,
gasoline is trapped
in
tank and not
in
the hose,
where it might
leak onto
the floor
if
the hose
deteriorates.
Carburetor air intake
silencer
will catch and
hold fuel which may flood
into engine if carburetor
float sticks.
Make
sure
silencer
and its
gaskets
are
on
engine
and
drain
hose
is
in place.
Air
silencer
mounting
screws
are special
lock
screws. Use
only
the
special
screws.
