1.
Position each container at, or near, the installation site.
2.
Remove the packing list envelope from the side of the container and retain (Figure 6-2).
3.
Remove the shipping container and packing material from around the cabinet.
WARNING
Two people are required to safely unload and position each cabinet.
Move carefully while following the unloading instructions exactly.
4.
Open the pallet unloading kit. It should contain two jack screws, two T-nuts, and two floor pads.
5.
Insert the jack screws in holes in the 2- by 3-inch studs, as shown in Figure 6-3.
6.
Install a T-nut onto each jack screw from underside of the pallet and thread them up until serrated
T-nut edges bite into the bottom of the pallet.
7.
Place a floor pad under each jack screw.
8.
Remove the two shipping brackets from the right side of the cabinet and the pallet.
9.
Raise the end of the pallet sufficiently to relieve the pallet pressure from the cushion module (or hardigg
cushions) by simultaneously rotating both jack screws clockwise. Remove the cushion(s).
10.
Lower the end of the pallet to the floor by simultaneously rotating the jack screws counterclockwise.
11.
Hold the machine in place and remove the two remaining shipping brackets.
12.
Using the castors affixed to the bottom of the cabinet, carefully ease the cabinet from the pallet to the
floor and position it.
13.
Remove the front cover by inserting a screwdriver into the securing latches and pushing the latches
toward the center of the cabinet; open the large front door on the main cabinet, exposing the main card
cage, and remove the packing material from between the PCBs.
14.
Check for loose or disconnected internal cable connections.
15.
Close the front door and replace the front cover.
