2. To enter normal operation from console program mode, do one of the following:
Place the LOCK switch to the OFF position. Halt the processor using the SCP HALT command.
Press the SYSTEM switch to the BOOT position to perform a load from the operating system
media.
Enter the Continue command to return control to the operating system or user program where it left
off.
Use the Start command to restart program execution from a different address.
Use the Boot command to manually boot a specific device.
2.6 ECLIPSE MV/7800 AND MV/7800-C RESET PROCEDURES
To reset the system perform one of the following steps:
Place the LOCK switch to the OFF position and then press the SYSTEM switch to the RST (reset)
position.
Use the Reset command.
2.7 POWER-DOWN PROCEDURES
To power-down the system, first reset the system and then place the POWER switch from the "ON-1" position to
the "0-OFF" position.
2.8 MV17800 COMSWITCH-II OPERATION MODES AND ACCESS LEVELS
This subsection contains information to operate the COMSWITCH-II.
NOTE
To enable/disable COMSWITCH-II, have the Data General Field
Engineer call the local support center for instructions on how to enable,
configure, and set the dialstring parameter.
NOTE
A <CMD BREAK> or <BREAK> is used when <BREAK> is called for
and depends on the terminal type.
