6.4.3 Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
Many of the PCBs within Data General equipment contain metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS) devices which are
sensitive to and can be damaged by ESD.
Because of the danger of ESD, an ESD kit must be used when removing and handling PCBs (including bus
repeaters). The ESD kit (Part No. 129-002200) contains the following items.
