6.4.5 I/O Controller Cabling and Priority Jumpers
Use Figure 6-14 to check the CPU chassis back panel I/O slot priority chain jumper connections.
FAST DCH JUMPER
THIS JUMPER IS ONLY USED WHEN A STANDARD SPEED
DATA CHANNEL I/O CONTROLLER IS CONFIGURED. IT
RETURNS THE DCHP OUT SIGNAL TO THE CPU.
CONTROLLERS #3 THRU 8 WILL RECEIVE HIGH SPEED
DATA CHANNEL SERVICE WHILE CONTROLLER #9 WILL
RECEIVE STANDARD SPEED DATA CHANNEL SERVICE.
WHEN AN I/O CONTROLLER RESIDES OUTSIDE
THE CHASSIS, IT MUST BE CONFIGURED AS A
STANDARD SPEED DATA CHANNEL CONTROLLER.

FOR JUMPERING OF INTERRUPT AND DATA CHANNEL
PRIORITIES, CONNECT A PAIR OF JUMPERS BETWEEN
A96, A94 AND A95, A93, RESPECTIVELY, OF SLOT
IMMEDIATELY BELOW LOWEST NUMBERED SLOT
CONTAINING AN I/O BOARD. USE JUMPER 005-015135.

OPEN I/O SLOTS MUST BE JUMPERED OVER
AS SHOWN AT RIGHT.
