OUTPUTS
Three general purpose outputs are available and their meaning can be defined by the
user. They are typically used either to signal the data collection result or to control an
external lighting system.
The electrical features of the outputs are the following:
By default, Output 1 is associated with the No Read event, which activates when the
code(s) signaled by the external trigger are not decoded, and Output 2 is associated
with the Good Read event, which activates when all the selected codes are correctly
decoded.
The output signals are fully programmable being determined by the configured Activa-
tion/Deactivation events, Deactivation Timeout or a combination of the two. Refer to
the DL.CODE parameters Help On Line for further details.
CAUTION
When
Outputs 1 and 2 are connected through the CBX connection box,
they become opto-isolated and polarity sensitive and acquire the elec-
trical characteristics listed below. To function correctly, they require
setting the Output Line Type configuration parameters to NPN
  for the
respective output. The hardware connection to the CBX can be either
NPN or PNP.
