Technical Manual
October 1, 1995 18-006/081-04 GB

Option 5: The printer can print either by command or in real time printing the events as programmed for
the personnel groups.
Option 6: When the external reader 90T EMR-S is used together with 95T ERC / 90T RKP ERC this
option bit must be 1. When the normal reader 95T ACM/ACW or 90T RKP ACM/ACW are used
this option bit must be 0. See also 1.10.1 "External and Internal readers on the same door in
Integrated Systems".
When this option bit is set to "1" all "Reading fault" messages in the display are suppressed.
When this option bit is set to "1" in an integrated system the reader accepts that the user can
key in the intruder user code without first using a card.
When this option bit is set to "0" in an integrated system the reader will not accept any code
before reading a card.
Option 7: 0 = The reader accepts only encrypted cards. 1 = The reader accepts encrypted or
non
-
encrypted cards. Only
the Master cards and Service cards must always be encrypted
cards
and cannot be made non-encrypted.
Option 8:
90T RKP ACM/ERC reader types:
Option 8 = 1: The address set on the reader address switch will be added with 16. F. ex if the
switch is set to 5 then the real address of the reader on the RS 485 bus will be 21.
Option bit 8 = 0: The reader is using the lower addresses from 0 to 15 as programmed on the
address switch.
95T ACM/ERC reader types:
Log only door entry with PIN-code.
Option bit 8 = 1: Only door entries where PIN-code has been used is memorized in the event
log even if the local week program for the log is programmed with other functions. The log
definition for each personnel group will still decide which cards are stored in the log.
Option bit 8 = 0: The local week program for the log and the personnel group programming are
defining which events are stored in the event log.
Option 9: Indicates if a 90T AIMS management system is connected to the installation. When the Option
bit 9 is "1", the priority 2 cards change their functions, to secure that the system programming in
the management system and in the readers are the same. See section 1.6.6 "Programming
Cards and card priority" for the description of the new priority 2 functions. Please note that the
AIMS software will give an "database fault" for all readers where this option bit is not set to "1".
Option 10: In high security level installations like military and bank installations it can be demanded that the
Bus communications are encrypted. By Option 10 it can be programmed encrypted or non-
encrypted RS485 communication. In integrated systems all units on the bus must be in the
same mode (encrypted or non-encrypted).
Option 11: Door contact.
By the option bit 11 it can be programmed at which moment the door entry event for a card is
logged. When option 11 is set to "1" the card entry is logged when reading the card. This can
be used, if there is no door contact installed on the door and you still want to log the door entry
event.
If option bit 11 is set to "0" the card entry event is logged, when you open the door.
Option 12: Summer/winter time.
By the option bit 12 the automatic summer/winter time change can be enabled/disabled. When
option bit 12 is set to "1" no automatic summer/winter time will be performed.
When option bit 12 is set to "0" the automatic summer/winter time change will be performed
after the standard european rules.
