6.1.4 Electrical connections
The electrospindle earthing (see paragraph 5.8 “Electrical connections”) must be
connected to the machine earthing.
The thermal alarm must activate a procedure that protects the electrospindle coils
from overheating (see paragraph
7.8.5 “Use and technical characteristics of the
thermal alarm”
).
6.1.5 Programming the inverter
Make sure the specifications in paragraph 5.7 “Fluid distributor connections” are complied with.
6.2 Start-up checks
Only start up the electrospindle with the
“Tool-holder cone correctly locked” (see
page
140).
For HSK versions only: the electrospindle must not be started without the tool-holder
inserted.
Tool-holder cone ejection must proceed as specified in section
7.4 “Tool-holder locking and
ejection device”
.
The control sensors must intervene according to the logic described in paragraph
7.8.3 “Electrospindle conditions and corresponding outputs of the inductive sensors”.
The tool change cycle must only take place with the shaft stopped.
Check the correct operation of the cooling system.
With the tool holder inserted and without performing machining operations, perform the
preheating cycle described in paragraph
7.3 “Warm-up”.
