Cleaning/ Maintenance
Maintenance of the PTFE vessel
The main PTFE vessel is subjected to very hard conditions, such as high temperature, pressure and acid,
therefore Milestone has developed a cleaning procedure to further increase the lifetime of the main PTFE
vessel.
The cleaning of the main vessel should be performed once per month and it consists of a very easy and
fast procedure:
• Clean the vessel with a paper moistened of Ethanol
• Dry it very well and put it into a conventional electrical (not microwave) oven overnight (or at
least 4 hours) at 160°C.
Protective oil or grease
Before switching off the unit, clean the stainless-steel vessel, cover and clamps with ethanol first and then
with the protective oil / grease.
Milestone supplies different types of oil or grease according to the application used with ultraWAVE 3. The
following table summarizes the types of oil and grease available for ultraWAVE 3.
