Maintenance by Milestone customer service must be performed once a year or after a
maximum of 600 runs.
The number of cycles varies according to the application adopted. Ask for more information
from the service technician.
NOx decontamination of the main PTFE vessel
Frequency:
Every week
To remove the NOx gases from the PTFE vessel, run the following procedure:
Clean the vessel with a paper moistened of water
Dry it very well and put it into a conventional electric (not microwave) oven overnight (or at least
4 hours) at 160°C
Be aware that, during the cleaning in oven, a lot of NOx fumes could be released from the TFM
vessel.
Cleaning before long operational Breaks
Frequency:
Before leaving the instrument off for more than 5 days
Without rack inside, put 200ml of deionized water with 5 ml of HNO3 conc. In the PTFE vessel and run
the following heating program:
Load pressure: 40 bar

Open reactor and remove the water and dry all parts.
In order to clean the complete system before long operational break (≥5 days off), the system
have to be cleaned running the following procedure.
