An easyTEMP infrared temperature sensor allows
the automatic display and control of the internal
temperature of the vessel.
Additional built-in temperature sensors:
• Temperature sensor for monitoring of vessel wall
• Sensor for detecting and controlling the magnetron temperature
Pressure sensor
A pressure sensor monitors the total vessel internal pressure.
Overpressure protection
A burst disc protects the pressure system against pressure more than the allowed operating pressure.
Position Sensors
Different sensors monitor the positions of certain components of ultraWAVE 3. Only if all of these
components are in the correct position, the appropriate control functions are released to the user.
Automatic opening and closing of the protection shield will activate a solenoid switch installed on top. The
system cannot be started without protection shield open.
Manual opening and closing of the locking clamps will activate a solenoid switch which is installed behind
the clamps.
With open clamps the system cannot be started nor pressurized. With locked clamps the cover cannot be
lifted up.
Recirculation water chiller
A suitable recirculation water chiller has to be connected and switched on. The water chiller
should be connected to a power supply line of at least 600 Watts.
The water chiller is used to cool down the vessel to prevent overheating by microwave radiation, as well
as to cool down the vessel and the sample inside, at the end of the microwave program.
