PFPE grease with

The protective oil included with the ultraWAVE 3 is silicon based, which could not be appropriate in case
of Si determination; for this reason Milestone also provides PFPE grease.
If the application requires routine use of HCl, Aqua regia or other aggressive acid media, it is
recommended to use PFPE grease with anti-corrosion additive.

Cleaning before long operational breaks
Whenever the system is not going to be used for long period (≥ 5 days), Milestone suggests to perform a
fast cleaning cycle. The following procedure allows you to remove any acid deposits from the high pressure
lines.
Place 200 ml of deionized water with 5 ml of HNO
3
conc. into the PTFE vessel (do not use the rack) and
run the following heating program.
Load pressure: 40 bar

At the end of the program, open the reactor and clean it. Open the reactor and remove the water, then
clean the system (with Ethanol and oil or grease) following the steps described above.
