7.4 Setting the overload display
If the gross load exceeds the measuring weight or an overflow occurs in the AD conversion, the
CSD-709 displays the following message in the load window:
Overload status Display in load window
Overload OL or -OL
Overflow OVF or -OVF
For the overload display, you can set any of the following conditions:
Overload message is displayed when [measuring weight + 9 scales < gross load] or [gross load
< negative measuring weight - 9 scales] is established.
Overload message is displayed when [measuring weight × 110 % < gross load] or [gross load <
negative measuring weight × 110 %] is established.
Overload message is displayed when [measuring weight + 9 scales < gross load] or [gross load
< -20 scales] is established.
Set any of these overload display conditions to C function CF-03. Described below are the overload
display setting procedures.
1. Press once to display .
2. Press once to change the display to .
3. Press .
The C Function mode is activated, and the display changes to a two-digit numerical value
prefixed by [CF-].
4. Using and , change the numerical value to , then press .
The number showing the current overload display condition appears.

OL is displayed when [measuring weight + 9 scales < gross load] is established.
-OL is displayed when [gross load < negative measuring weight - 9 scales] is
established.

5. Press to set the number showing the desired overload display condition.
Whenever is pressed, the number is cyclically changed from 0 to 2 in ascending order.
6. Press .
7. Press twice to return to Measurement mode.
