3.2 Changing the calibration number
The CSD-709 can store calibration results to four calibration numbers (0 to 3), respectively, and
allows you to use the desired number by selecting it. For example, after calibration results acquired
by multiple measuring units are stored to those calibration numbers, selecting the desired number
allows you to execute measurement by using the measuring unit connected to the number. When
you intend to use calibration numbers in such a way, check the number to which the calibration result
will be stored and provide proper settings before starting the calibration sequence. In the CSD-709,
you can select the desired calibration number from four numbers by using any of the following
methods:
Setting with C function CF-18
External control input
Communication by means of USB
Communication by means of optional devices (RS-232C card or RS-422/485 card)
Which method is used to change the calibration number is determined by entering any of values
listed below to the function F-89.
Setting Calibration number change method
0
Changes the number with C function CF-18.
1
Changes the number with the external control input.
2
Changes the number through communication by USB.
3
Change the number through communication by means of optional devices.
0 (Changes the number with CF-18.)
You can check the selected calibration number based on the status of the LED (on or off) in the
status window, as shown below.

Described below are calibration number change procedures by means of C function CF-18.
Regarding the change of a calibration number using an external control input, USB-based communication,
and option-based communication, see Section 8.1, "External control input signal", Section 10.3, "Data
format", and Section J.4, "Calibration with Modbus", respectively.
1. Press once to display .
2. Press once to change the display to .
3. Press .
The C function mode is activated, and the display changes to a two-digit numerical value
prefixed with [CF-].
