3.7 Simplified calibration
The CSD-709 can execute zero and span calibrations by using simplified procedures. Also, it offers
numeral value input based calibration using simplified procedures. This section describes these
simplified calibration procedures by dividing calibration into the following processes.
Simplified zero calibration
Simplified span calibration
Simplified numerical value input based calibration
CAUTION
Before each simplified calibration, check the calibration number to be used. For the
verification method of the calibration number, see Section 3.2, "Changing the
calibration number".
If appears when you attempt to execute simplified calibration, such
calibration is locked. In this case, cancel the lock and commence with calibration.
For unlocking procedures, see Section 7.3.1, "Locking the simplified calibration".
3.7.1
Simplified zero calibration
In simplified zero calibration, you should calibrate the zero point based on the output with no load
placed on the measuring unit.
1. Hold down to display .
2. With no load placed on the measuring unit, press .
flashes. Then, continues flashing to allow you to return to Measurement
mode.
CAUTION
When the input from the measuring unit exceeds 2.5 mV/V, flashing
appears. When the input is lower than -2.5 mV/V, flashing appears.
These outliers are outside the scope of zero point calibration
3.7.2
Simplified span calibration
In simplified span calibration, you should calibrate the span using the weight prepared.
1. Hold down to flash .
2. Press .
The currently set measuring weight appears.
3. Change the measuring weight using and on an as-needed basis.
