Calibration
3.1 Overview
WARNING
In either of the following cases, always calibrate the CSD-709 before use.
Otherwise, you may obtain incorrect measurement results or the equipment may
malfunction and cause damage to peripheral devices.
Use the CSD-709 for the first time.
Replace the strain-gage-based transducer or equipment.
When incorrect measurement results are obtained, recalibrate the CSD-709. If
you continue using the equipment without recalibration, it may malfunction and
cause damage to peripheral devices.
POINT
When we have calibrated the CSD-709 in combination with a measuring unit (such as a
strain-gage-based transducer), recalibration is not necessary.
The CSD-709 can be calibrated in the following two ways.
Calibration based on actual load
Calibration based on input of numerical value
In the calibration based on actual load, use a weight to adjust the load so that the input to the
CSD-709 from the measuring unit will be correctly displayed on the CSD-709.
Load and decimal point display
position are not displa
ed correctl
.
Correct load is displayed and the
decimal point is placed in the
correct
osition as set.
