4.3 Setting the digital filter
The CSD-709 is equipped with two digital filters shown below to suppress the influence of noises
contained in the inputs from the measuring unit.
Digital low-pass filter
Moving average
The digital low-pass filter can be set for every AD sampling frequency.
4.3.1
Setting the digital low-pass filter
The digital low-pass filter values for the data digitalized according to the AD sampling frequency are
set to functions F-05, F-06, and F-07. In each function, the digital low-pass filter value for any of the
following AD sampling frequencies is stored.
Function Related AD sampling frequency Settable band
F-05
40 times/s
0 (OFF) ~ 4.0 Hz
F-06
400 times/s
0 (OFF) ~ 40 Hz
F-07
4 000 times/s
0 (OFF) ~ 400 Hz
CAUTION
According to the AD sampling frequency set to C function CF-02, enter an
appropriate value to any of the functions F-05, F-06, and F-07. For example, when
CF-02 has been set to [2] (4 000 times/s), enter an appropriate value to function
F-07. In this case, values set to F-05 and F-06 will produce no effect.
POINT
To remove lower frequency noises, reduce the AD sampling frequency to set a lower digital
low-pass filter value.
Described below are procedures to set the digital filter for the AD sampling frequency.
1. Press once to display .
2. Press .
The Function mode is activated, and the display changes to a two-digit numerical value prefixed
with [F-].
3. According to the currently set AD sampling frequency, use and to change the
numerical value to any of , and , and press .
The currently set digital filter value appears.
[F-05]: 40 (4 Hz), [F-06]: 40 (40 Hz), [F-07]: 40 (400 Hz)
For setting procedures with and , see Section 1.6, "Basic key operation".
