PAPER FEED UNIT
c. Detection of size of paper in the by-pass feed tray.
The size in the lengthwise direction of the paper in the by-
pass feed tray is detected by the ON/OFF state of PS22,
and the size in the widthwise direction is detected by the
resistance of VR1 which varies according to the position of
the guide on the tray.
2. Signals
a. Input signals
(1) PAPER SIZE RETURN 0 to 3 (Paper size detection
board → CB)
Paper size detection switch ON/OFF signal
(2) PS22 (PS11 → CB)
By-pass feed tray lengthwise direction paper size

[L]: B4/14" size or larger
[H]: A4R/11" size or less
(3) VR1 (VR1 → CB)
