1. Removing and Re-installing the Conveyance
Unit
a. Procedure
(1) Open the front door, then remove the drum unit, fixing
unit and transfer and separation corona unit. (Refer to
the description of the drum unit, fixing unit and corona
unit for details of removing these units.)
(2) Remove the screw, then remove the conveyance
guide plate.
(3) Remove the screw fixing the conveyance unit.
(4) Remove the spring at the right rear, then remove the
conveyance unit.
(5) Install the conveyance unit in the opposite sequence to
removal.

*2: Conveyance belt lifting mechanism
This mechanism raises the conveyance unit when thick
paper is used, in order to improve the paper conveyance
performance.
When the conveyance solenoid (SD5) goes ON, drive force
is transmitted to the conveyance lifting cam, and the
conveyance belt is raised together with the conveyance
unit.
