b. Output signals
(1) L2 CONT (CB DCPS)
Signal which controls the ON/OFF state of L2
[L]: L2 ON
[H]: L2 OFF
(2) L3 CONT (CB DCPS)
Signal which controls the ON/OFF state of L3
[L]: L3 ON
[H]: L3 OFF
(3) L4 CONT (CB DCPS)
Signal which controls the ON/OFF state of L4
[L]: L4 ON
[H]: L4 OFF
(4) L2 DRIVE (DCPS L2)
L2 AC(N) supply line.
The AC supply is switched ON or OFF according to L2
CONT.
(5) L3 DRIVE (DCPS L3)
L3 AC(N) supply line.
The AC supply is switched ON or OFF according to L3
CONT.
(6) L4 DRIVE (DCPS L4)
L4 AC(N) supply line.
The AC supply is switched ON or OFF according to L4
CONT.
(7) RL DRIVE (CB RL1)
Signal which controls RL1.
This signal becomes [H] if an abnormality occurs in the
machine, causing RL1 to go OFF.
b. Protection against abnormality
TS1 (thermostat (upper)) is used to prevent the tempera-
ture of the upper fixing roller from rising abnormally, and
TS2 (thermostat (lower)) is used to prevent the tempera-
ture of the lower fixing roller from rising abnormally. These
thermostats are set to specified gaps.
The operating temperature of each thermostat is shown
below.
TS1: Approx. 180°C/356°F
TS2: Approx. 110°C/230°F
c. MS4 (fixing set MS4)
The fixing heater remains energized even if the main door
is opened, however if the fixing pressure lever is moved to
the release side MS4 goes OFF and the flow of current to
the fixing heater is cut off.
2. Signals
a. Input signals
(1) TH1 ANG 1, 2 (TH1 CB)
TH1 output signal
This signal outputs a voltage that is proportional to the
surface temperature at the center of the upper fixing
roller.
This signal is used for temperature control and also for
detecting an abnormally high temperature or other
abnormality.
(2) TH2 ANG 1, 2 (TH2 CB)
TH2 output signal
This signal outputs a voltage proportional to the sur-
face temperature at the end of the upper fixing roller. It
is not directly related to temperature control but is used
for detecting an abnormality.
(3) TH3 ANG (TH3 CB)
TH3 output signal
This signal outputs a voltage proportional to the sur-
face temperature of the lower fixing roller. This signal
is used for temperature control and also for detecting
high temperature abnormality.
