Current Encryption
Algorithm
Shows the current scrambling mode of the APEX1000 (Read-only).
Configured Encryption
Algorithm
Use to set the current scrambling mode of the APEX1000.
Values are:
• DES (DCII) – North America
• DES (SCTE-52) – Standard Cipher Block Chaining Packet Encryption,
formally DVS-042)
• DVB – CSA (DVB Common Scrambling Algorithm)
• DVB – CSA SimulCrypt
Caution: A reboot is required to change the encryption algorithm.
Status
Opens the RDS Status window.
Rights Data Server (RDS) Settings
Use this interface when performing broadcast encryption. With this process, the
APEX1000 retrieves EMMs and service specific rights meta data directly from the
DAC 6000’s RDS interface.
1. To begin configuring RDS settings, select Configuration > Encryption
Configuration.
2. Select the RDS tab.
The RDS screen displays:
