SFP Status window field definitions
Item Definition
Physical Data
Supplier
Displays the name of the SFP supplier.
Supplier Part Number
SFP supplier’s part number.
Motorola Part Number
Motorola’s part number.
Nominal Bit Rate (Mbps)
Nominal signaling rate to nearest 100 Mbps.
Laser Wavelength (nm)
Shows the device’s laser wavelength.
Diagnostics
Temperature (Celsius)
Shows the internally measured module temperature.
Supply Voltage (V)
Shows the internally measured supply voltage.
TX Bias Current (mA)
Shows the internally measured TX bias current.
TX Output Power (dBm)
Shows the measured TX output power.
RX Input Power (dBm)
Shows the measured RX input power.
Update
Click to refresh the information on the screen.
SFP configuration information is polled after boot-up or after communication is
established with the module. The wavelength, vendor name, vendor part number, and
vendor revision are then displayed on the EM screen. The other parameters become
available on the APEX1000 MIB, and are recorded during a status capture.
Note: Diagnostic parameters are updated once per second. Alarms and warnings set
when measurements exceed vendor specified limits.
