Selecting Programs
• When a blinking underscore (or several blinking underscores) is displayed, you can type a number
from the numeric keypad [D].
• When the sign “/OK” [A] is displayed upper right corner, you can scroll through the menu by
pressing the left-arrow key [B] or the right-arrow key [C]. To select program, press the OK key [F].
Specifying Values
1. After locating a program, press the OK key. A blinking underscore (or several blinking underscores)
indicates which value you can change. The value in parentheses is the default value of the menu.
2. Type a necessary value from the numeric keypad. To switch between positive (plus) and negative
(minus) values, press the key.
3. To validate the value, press the OK key. To cancel the value, press the escape key [E].
Activating Copy Mode
You can activate the copy mode while the SP mode is running. When you do so, the copier outputs images
or patterns that help you adjust the SP setting.
1. Press the key. The copy mode is activated.
2. Specify copy settings and press the key.
3. To return to the SP mode, press the key.
• You cannot end the SP mode while the copy mode is activated.
Quitting Programs/Ending (S) SP Mode
Press the key or the escape key to quit the program. You can end the SP mode by pressing one of
these keys several times.
Copier Service Program Mode Tables
Conventions used in the tables:
• Asterisk (*): The settings are saved in the NVRAM. Most of them return to the default values when you
execute SP5-801-002. CTL indicates that the data is contained in NVRAM on the controller board.
• DFU: The program is for design/factory use only. Do not change the settings.
