Passwords
Passwords
Passwords for Multiplate software All configuration options are password protected. To change the options enter the
password to get access. Make sure that only authorized and trained personnel can
access the configuration options.

Once entered a password, all options that are accessible with that password level stay
accessible until the next shutdown of the software. Therefore, it is recommended to
shutdown and restart the software after any password entry to prevent unauthorized
access.
Passwords for operating system Besides the Multiplate passwords, there are separate passwords to login to the
Windows operating system during startup.

The Windows passwords are initial passwords to be used to install the analyzer. Make sure
to change the passwords directly after installation.
Password level Used by Usage
Level 1 Operators Users with a level 1 password can
access and edit most of the
configuration functions with the
following exceptions:
Read-only access for:
o Configurations tab in
Configuration > Edit analyzer
config uration
o LIS configuration
o Configure data alarms
The Electronic QC function can
only be accessed with a level 2
password.
Level 2 Local laboratory administrators Users with a level 2 password can
access and edit all the configuration
functions.
